What is the Haze Method?
The Haze Method is a way to post to TikTok in the quality you filmed. It is a set of tools at hazemethod.xyz — an optimizer, a direct TikTok uploader and a quality checker — built around one idea: TikTok should not be able to crush your upload.
The short version

Where the Haze Method came from
TikTok re-compresses everything you post. Creators who spent hours on an edit watched it come out soft and choppy, and the usual advice — turn on Upload HD, raise the bitrate — only helped so much. The Haze Method was built to fix exactly that, and grew into the tools at hazemethod.xyz.
How the Haze Method works
The optimizer patches your video's MP4 container and metadata so your quality keeps itself through TikTok's re-compression. The picture is never re-encoded, so nothing is lost: the frames that come out are the frames that went in. The full walkthrough is in TikTok quality bypass.

How to use the Haze Method
- Go to hazemethod.xyz and sign in with Discord (free).
- Open Optimize, drop in your MP4 or MOV, and download the optimized file.
- Post it from the TikTok app with Upload HD on, or from Upload on Haze.
- Paste the link into Check to confirm your quality held.

Is Haze Method the same as Haze Tools?
Yes. Haze Tools was the earlier name of the site; it is now the Haze Method, still at hazemethod.xyz.
Is the Haze Method an app I need to download?
No. It runs on the website at hazemethod.xyz on any phone or computer. There is also an optional Haze Chrome extension that keeps your quality on uploads you make at tiktok.com.
Does the Haze Method work on iPhone and Android?
Yes. Open hazemethod.xyz in your phone's browser, optimize your video, and post it from the TikTok app or from Haze Upload.
