These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Haze Method, the app operated at hazemethod.xyz, including its website, Discord bot, browser extension, and backend service at api.hazemethod.xyz (together, the "Service"), operated by Haze Method ("Haze Method", "Haze", "we", "us"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service, and old enough to hold an account on any third-party platform you connect (such as Discord or TikTok). If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to accept these Terms for it. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials and connected-account access secure.
Haze provides tools for creators, including a browser-based video optimizer, a video quality checker, a credits system, donation and Premium tiers, and optional publishing to connected TikTok accounts through Haze TikUpload. Features, limits, and pricing may change, and some features require a signed-in account or a specific tier.
No affiliation: Haze is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by TikTok, ByteDance, Discord, Zernio, or any other platform mentioned. All product names and trademarks belong to their respective owners.
Signing in uses Discord OAuth. When you connect a third-party account (for example, your TikTok account for publishing, or a Zernio connection), you authorize Haze to act on that account only for the actions you request, and you agree to that platform's own terms. You may disconnect a connected account at any time; doing so removes the saved connection from Haze. You are responsible for all activity carried out through your account and your connected accounts.
Because credits and digital access are delivered immediately and consumed as digital goods, all purchases are final and non-refundable except where a refund is required by applicable law, or where we choose to grant one at our discretion (for example, a duplicate charge or a confirmed service failure on our side). Chargebacks or payment disputes filed without first contacting us may result in suspension of your account and forfeiture of remaining credits and perks. We may investigate suspected violations and may suspend or terminate access, remove content, or revoke credits and perks in response, with or without notice.
You retain ownership of the videos and other content you process or publish through the Service ("Your Content"). You are solely responsible for Your Content and for ensuring you have all necessary rights, licenses, and permissions, including for any music, footage, or third-party material it contains.
When you use Haze TikUpload to publish to a connected TikTok account, you direct Haze to send Your Content and the caption, privacy level, disclosures, and settings you choose to TikTok on your behalf. You are responsible for the accuracy of those settings and disclosures (including any commercial-content or branded-content declaration) and for complying with TikTok's Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, and Music Usage Confirmation. Haze does not review, endorse, or take responsibility for Your Content, and cannot guarantee that a post will succeed, remain published, reach any audience, or perform in any particular way.
You grant Haze a limited license to process, transmit, and temporarily handle Your Content only as needed to perform the actions you request. Haze does not use Your Content to train models or for advertising.
The Service is provided to help prepare and optimize videos, but results depend on your source file, your device, the destination platform, and factors outside our control. Haze does not guarantee any specific quality outcome, that a video will avoid compression or moderation, or any particular result on TikTok or any other platform. Keep your own backup of any original file; Haze is not a storage or backup service.
The Service integrates with third parties such as Discord, TikTok, Zernio, and payment providers. Your use of those services is governed by their terms and privacy policies, and their availability and behavior are outside our control. Haze is not responsible for the acts, omissions, downtime, or content of any third-party service.
The Service, including its software, design, text, and branding (excluding Your Content and third-party marks), is owned by Haze and protected by law. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for its intended purpose. No other rights are granted.
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access, in whole or in part, at any time if you violate these Terms, create risk or legal exposure for Haze, or abuse the Service. On termination for cause, remaining credits and time-limited perks may be forfeited without refund. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including payment, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and dispute terms) will survive.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or that it will meet your requirements or produce any particular result.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Haze and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, content, goodwill, or opportunities, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid to Haze in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim, or US $50.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Haze and its operators from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of Your Content, your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party rights, including any platform's terms.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We may also update these Terms; when we do, we will update the date above and, for material changes, may provide a website or Discord notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. You agree to first attempt to resolve any dispute informally by contacting us. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of the Philippines, except where applicable law grants you the right to bring proceedings elsewhere.
